Daniel Marks
Daniel Marks, C.E.O. of Houston-based I W Marks, joined the family-owned and operated retail jewelry company in 2003. Daniel shares responsibilities with his brother Brad Marks to oversee the companies overall operations. He went on to earn a degree in management and psychology from Texas A&M University and has taken advance coursework towards certification by The Gemological Institute of America, (GIA), the world's foremost authority in gemology, diamond grading, jewelry education and gemology research.
Daniel Marks travels to New York City several times a year as well as the prestigious Couture jewelry show to help select the finest diamond, gold and platinum jewelry and name brand watches for I W Marks and its exclusive designer jewelry boutique.
A member of the Fort Bend Chamber of Commerce, Daniel Marks takes great pride in carrying on I W Marks Jewelers' long-standing tradition of supporting the community, including involvement with the American Cancer Society's Cattle Baron's Ball, on the board for the Toyful Toyful Foundation. The store is a five-time recipient of the Business Committee for the Arts, Inc., and FORBES Magazine's national Business in the Arts Award, the Jefferson Award for community service, multiple award-winner of the BBB's Foundation's Award for Excellence and Winner of Distinction, and recipient of countless other community and arts awards.
